Business Radio focuses on the issues and people directly impacting the world
of sports business. Guests on the show offering an insider's perspective
include pro sports league executives, agents, college athletics administrators,
sports apparel company reps, ad agency executives, media executives and
athletes. Portland is a natural point of origin for Sports Business Radio
with companies such as Nike, adidas, Wieden & Kennedy and the Warsaw
School of Sports Marketing all based in the Pacific Northwest.
Brian Berger has been
in the sports business industry for 15 years as a radio broadcaster and a
public relations expert. After working for KXLU and KBLA radio in Los Angeles,
Berger moved to Portland to work for the Portland Trail Blazers in 1992. After
6 years with the Blazers, Berger started BBPR Inc. in 1998.Berger has worked on projects
with high profile notables ranging from Brian Grant, Carmelo Anthony and LeBron
James to Andre Agassi, Anna Kournikova and Katie Harman. His sports business
background is enhanced by the fact that he has been both a member of the media
and a PR professional who has serviced the media, allowing him a unique insight
into both worlds.Keith Forman has spent
20 years working in sports event management, broadcast and marketing. From
PA announcing on the Pro Beach Volleyball circuit to managing the installation
of temporary sod fields for World Cup Soccer, Forman has seen all sides of
the sports industry.
Forman also worked with
Berger as the radio voices for Loyola Marymount University's men's basketball
team in Los Angeles for several years, including 1990, when the team advanced
to the Great Eight of the NCAA Tournament following the tragic death of All-American
Hank Gathers.
Keith currently manages
his own event production company and consults for numerous non-profit
organizations.
